Christmas with the Cullens

FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF ELEAZAR

"Carmen, hurry up with the wrapping, would you?" I asked her. Carmen has always been a perfectionist when it comes to presents. This year even more so since it would be our first Christmas with Renesmee and the Cullens. (Last year doesn't count since the Volturi ruined everything.)
"If you would just be patient I'll be done in a moment. There!" She told me as she twirled the last ribbon on the large silver box. "Do you think she'll like it?" She fretted.
"Of course she will. Now can we go over there?" Tanya said from out of nowhere. We were all staying in the only hotel in Forks. I had to laugh; Tanya was so impatient. I grabbed Carmen's hand and pulled her to the Bently.
"Don't worry, Nessie will love it. How could she not?" The family had gotten Nessie a silver and black laptop. Edward had requested we get her some sort of musical item too, so I had installed garage band and itunes on the computer. Actually, Kate, Tanya, and Carmen had made me do all the installing of everything. Garrett had gotten out of it by saying he was getting her something else. Tanya and the rest slid into the back seat, and we drove off to the Cullens.
"Hello!" Kate called in through the door. We were instantly greeted by Esme.
"Welcome! Thank you so much for coming!" She said warmly and ushered us inside to the couch. Emmett and Rosalie were 'decorating' the trees outside by chopping them into shapes. We could hear Emmett laughing through the window. Jasper and Jacob were in the corner, reading to Nessie, and Carlisle was chatting with the other wolves. I chuckled when I heard Alice screeching at Bella in the cottage about some dress she wanted Renesmee to wear, and Edward was talking with Charlie. Esme fluttered back into the kitchen, where she was putting a new batch of Christmas cookies in the oven for the always hungry wolves. Alice came in then, followed by a grumbling Bella. Bella was carrying a small red dress. I laughed again; Alice never lost an argument.
"Hello!" She sang, and came over to hug all of us. "Oh! You brought a present! I'll take that." She said as she snatched the box out of Carmen's hands to place it under the huge pine tree in the middle of the room. "Jazz, Jacob, come over here. Stop putting yourself in total isolation." She then picked up Nessie and placed her on Carmen's lap. "Converse, chat, party. Something!" Alice then promptly walked outside and pulled Emmett and Rosalie in the house.
"Thank you all for coming to celebrate Christmas with us today." Carlisle smiled at all the guests. "For those of you who eat," he said eyeing the wolves, "Esme made lots of Christmas cookies for all of you. Shall we begin with the presents?"
Alice got everybody clothes. I got a cashmere sweater, and Carmen got a ruffled, satin, green cocktail dress. We all said thank you, and then Nessie began to open her hundreds of presents. The highlights included a life sized stuffed wolf from Seth, Jacob, and Jacey, a beautiful wooden flute made in Italy from Edward and Bella, a digital camera from Emmett and Rosalie, a diamond bracelet from Alice, and the laptop from our family.
"Thank you Uncle Eleazar, Aunt CArmen, Aunt Tanya, Aunt Kate, and Uncle Garrett!" Nessie squealed when she opened it. "Will you show me how to use it please?" She asked me.
"Everything is installed already, so you don't have to do that. Hmm, you have to set your password and icons, but otherwise everything is set." I smiled at her. She picked a picture that she had taken with her new camera of everyone sitting around the Christmas tree as her icon.
When it was time to leave for Denali, everybody came to say goodbye as we gathered around the Bently. We had already thanked Carlisle and Esme for having us, and Alice for our gifts. "You have to wear them the next time we see you!" She had told us as we said goodbye.
"Goodbye Nessie." I had told her as I hugged her. "I love you, and Merry Christmas!" As Carmen leaned into me as we were pulling out the driveway, she whispered two words into my ear. "Merry Christmas."
