Movie News Flash!

So, many of you have heard that the release of the sixth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been moved from this Thanksgiving to next summer. First and foremost, please know that this schedule change has absolutely nothing to do with Twilight, me, or Summit Films (so enough with the imdb death wishes, okay?). This is Warner Bros. decision, and it was not motivated by anything Twilight-related.

Now for the good news! Though we're all sad to have to wait for Harry Potter, this open spot at the theater creates a cool opportunity. The good people at Summit were thrilled to let me know that now Twilight fans are going to get their movie three weeks earlier than scheduled. That's right—Twilight will be released in theaters November 21st! Let the merry-making commence!

its cool that summit did jump on the opptunity, but come on, im a harry potter fan first and awlays will be, i been waiting to see it forever, i refuse to see twilight on nov 21 but instead seeing it on its orignla date dec 12

Hopefully you all don't jump on me for giving my two cents on this... and I totally see why you are all mad because yeah that totally sucks to push the date back 8 months when it is 3 months before its release and I am a HP fan too, but what good does a petition or a boycott do? I mean, come on, we are all still going to go see Harry Potter when it comes out- its not like people aren't going to go see it now out of protest.

And as for not seeing Twilight until Dec 12, what does that really accomplish other than I guess your own things, because they still get the money for it, they still get to say this is how much money it made. I spose it does hurt their opening weekend stuff, but really a Thanksgiving premiere is actually going to help them alot more than the original date would.

Just my two cents... that it totally sucks... but unless we are all just not going to go see either movie, the petitions and boycotts and delayed viewings that everyone is claiming are kinda... pointless.... sadly...

the reason why im waiting till then is because when a big movie is being premied i rather see it on the day its released even if it was delayed. and i watched every hp since ss on there release dates, i have not yet missed one release date,
